Walk through the doors at Elks Lodge 1714 on Elk Way and you'll immediately notice something that's hard to put into words: people actually know each other here. Regulars greet newcomers by name. The bar buzzes with conversation. Someone's already saved you a seat. With a 4.7-star rating across nearly 70 reviews, this lodge has earned its reputation the old-fashioned way, one good meal and one good evening at a time.

The BPOE has been a cornerstone of American civic life since 1868, and Lodge 1714 carries that legacy forward right here in the Arkansas Ozarks. The focus isn't on ceremony, it's on showing up. Members gather for live music and dancing, charity fundraisers, community events, and the kind of low-key weeknight dinner that somehow turns into a two-hour conversation you didn't plan on having.

This is a private club, so membership matters, but the door is genuinely open to anyone who wants to be part of something meaningful. As one member put it, you simply have to join. Mountain Home has plenty of places to eat, but only one place where the food, the people, and the purpose all show up together.

What We Offer

The lodge runs a full-service dining room with a menu that punches above its weight for a private club. Lunch and dinner are served regularly, with crowd favorites like walleye and rotating daily specials that keep members coming back. Prices are kept honest, because feeding the community was always the point.

Beyond the dining room, Lodge 1714 hosts a packed calendar of events. Live entertainment and dancing draw a crowd on weekend nights, while charitable programs tie the lodge to the broader Mountain Home community through scholarships, veterans support, and youth initiatives. The bar is a natural gathering spot before and after events, comfortable and unpretentious.

Membership unlocks the full experience, including access to all events, reciprocal privileges at Elks lodges nationwide, and the simple pleasure of belonging to a group of people who genuinely look out for one another.

"If your not, you just HAVE TO become a member. Great fun, great food, fun entertainment. You can't find a better place in town for a relaxing and enjoyable evening. Or come in for lunch for that matter! And the Friday dinner specials are fantastic! We came once just to visit, and asked how to become members before we left the Lodge."

"It was nice and clean with real friendly people. I was disappointed, I thought there was a nice restaurant in there. The only other Elk's, I've been to was quite eligant. We would go there for Sunday dinner and Holiday dinners. This restaurant was pretty plain."

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
